Inmuebles24 and Homie Launch Tool to Make Renting in Mexico Much Smoother

August 4, 2020

The Navent-owned Mexican property portal Inmuebles24 and the rental technology platform Homie.mx (not to be confused with the US brokerage firm Homie.com) have launched a new product which they claim makes the rental process 18 times faster. The new product named ‘Renta Fácil’ removes the need for a guarantor, which is almost ubiquitous in Mexico, as well as allowing for rental payments to be made via card rather than in cash and moving the whole process online. Renta Fácil will also run a background check on prospective tenants as well as taking into account their earnings to make sure that landlords can feel safe in letting out their property.

The launch is long overdue in a national rental market which frequently sees delays and friction and comes hot on the heels of Homie’s launch of 3 efficiency tools back in February. The nature of the partnership between the startup, founded by Jordi Greenham in Mexico City in 2015, and Inmuebles24 is not clear at this stage.
