British real estate platform, Zoopla, has recently announced that it has a new app that has optimized the house-hunting journey, giving it a new design, improved navigation and a more user friendly interface. Along with the new look and feel, Zoopla claims it will give agents more leads, as well.
It is available to download on iOS and will be available on Android soon and, for the first time, the app is now capable with the portal’s Premium Listings Plus service.
This means “agents will immediately benefit from an expanded reach … with 11.5 million downloads of the app to date the potential increased audience is significant for agents” according to a statement from the portal this morning.
New functionality which is described as driving more leads to agents includes:
- ‘Properties’ tab: enables users to see all properties they have interacted with in one place, which gives these listings greater visibility, encouraging more home-hunter interaction. Users can also save listings across all of their devices, enabling a clean user journey from app to desktop;
- Personalization: the search function has been separated from the homepage which, in time, will allow for greater homepage personalization - which consumers now expect. The ‘Properties’ tab also adds a key element of personalization to the user experience;
- New navigation pane: located at the bottom of the screen creates a more intuitive interface. This is a step away from the traditional ‘hamburger’ navigation, giving users easy access to menu options which were previously obscured, and aligns with native apps such as WhatsApp and Instagram;
- Cleaner design: a less-cluttered journey means users will focus more closely on agents’ listings in the app.
