Zoopla Announces Launch of 'Sales Progression Portal'

July 25, 2022

Zoopla, the UK's number two portal, has launched a Progression Portal for agents, designed to aid sales progression.

The Progression Portal tracks sales in real time and provides updates to agents of 15 milestones during the sale process, including mortgage offer and completion.

Zoopla also claims the portal opens up new revenue streams for agents—with up to £400 in referral rewards up for grabs when agents refer buyers and to mortgage partners, and further rewards for referring conveyancers (£100).

Zoopla already offers its housebuilder customers a 'new homes' version of the portal which launched April 2021, during which time reduction in cancellations dropped by 24% and time to exchange dropped by 37% .

Andy Marshall, chief commercial officer at Zoopla, said:

"Lack of supply continues to be an ongoing challenge for estate agents. This new innovation will support our customers by not only freeing up time for them to focus on new business – but also giving them the opportunity to generate more revenue for their business.

"The news homes version of the portal has delivered brilliant results for our housebuilders and we’re looking forward to doing the same for our estate agent customers."

Peter Ambrose, managing director of The Partnership, comments: “We are delighted to support this initiative from Zoopla. Having worked with their housebuilder clients over the last 18 months, we’ve seen first-hand the benefits that are gained from sharing information.

“From obtaining client details and documentation up-front through to sharing progression milestones automatically, we’ve seen transactions go through more quickly and everyone is kept informed with progress."

The portal will launch on September 1, 2022, and agents can already sign up to participate in an exclusive beta programme. Zoopla is also searching for new mortgage broker and conveyancing partners to join the referral scheme network.

Zoopla has been making big pushes into technological offerings recently, including the launch of a "pay on exchange" service and a new lead delivery system for agents.
