British #2 portal Zoopla has launched a Lettings Advisory Board made up mostly of its agent customers as it looks to for greater input around decisions.
The new board is chaired by Michael Cook, a senior figure at national agency firm Leaders Romans group who is joined by 11 influential figures from the world of lettings agency, trade groups and tech. Zoopla will be represented by Chief Commercial Officer Andy Marshall and Research & Insight Director Richard Donnell.
Commenting on the formation of the Lettings Advisory Board, Cook said:
“We are excited to take an important step towards ensuring our industry better reflects those who work within it – which is what this board represents."
“The end goal will see greater customer collaboration through direct communication with our agents, who now have a dedicated and formal space for their voices, thoughts, and experiences to be heard. I am very proud to chair this group.”
According to the portal, its new non-regulatory board will be independent and has been set up with the aim of bringing agents to 'the heart of decision making'.
British property portals have been keen to make a show of listening to their customers recently. Recently launched challenger portal Boomin has set up a Strategic Board with six agent members while OnTheMarket's CEO Jason Tebb has been chairing Town Hall style meetings with hundreds of agents to listen to their opinions on his company.
