UK number two portal Zoopla has announced a number of key integrations with proptech partners that will let agents create software ecosystems to suit their business needs.
Five partners are already live, with more partnerships coming soon.
Goodlord, for instance, provides core tenancy progression tools under one roof, enabling agents to reduce the administrative time per let by up to 70%.
FocalAgent offers fast turnaround and responsive local photographers for property marketing purposes.
Vouch simplifies referencing checks, saving agents time and also providing the opportunity to earn a commission.
SmartSearch streamlines anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance checks for agents without leaving the Alto platform, reducing the steps required.
Finally, MoveGenius provides a one-stop shop to streamline seller onboarding.
Meanwhile, Zoopla has also teased upcoming partnerships with the likes of Fixflo (property management), Homebox (automated utility admin for letting agents), Openflo (tenant onboarding), Anyvan (which lets agents earn commissions when clients move) and Letting In A Box (insurance-approved tenant referencing).
Each of the upcoming partnerships is undergoing a testing period before expected —which Zoopla says will go live within the next six weeks.
Riccardo Dawson, Director of Product at Zoopla, said:
"We've been on a mission to enable agents to tailor Alto to their business needs, and this latest integration milestone puts them firmly in control so they can streamline their business and improve the experience they provide to their customers and get ahead of the competition.
This is just the beginning, with lots more best-in-class integrations to come later this year."
Tech integration is clearly a priority at the moment, with Rightmove rolling out new products for letting agents just this week, while challenger OnTheMarket extended a key partnership to integrate rent passports for tenants.
Zoopla itself launched a property inheritance calculator in February this year in response to a user survey that revealed people didn't know how to approach the taboo subject of understanding how much money they are likely to inherit when their parents pass away.
Zoopla recently announced it will outsource its customer service team toVentrica: a move the portal says will significantly improve customer support in the coming months.
And six months ago, Zoopla found itself in hot water when a BBC investigation found Zoopla had facilitated fraud on its portal due to a lack of due diligence during onboarding.
