Zillow has launched a new search feature that lets home buyers hide properties they have ruled out of their search.
Now available on the Zillow app, the "hide homes" tool saves users time and frustration by filtering out individual properties at the push of a button so they don't show up in future search results.
Zillow says it launched the tool after multiple users requested a "hide this property" option during their home search.
Jenny Arden, Chief Design Officer at Zillow, said:
"Home shopping can be stressful and time-consuming, and this new feature helps buyers reduce the noise and distraction so they can focus on the homes that inspire them.
"This upgrade was one of the most requested features by our customers, and it gives them a great way to remove the homes from their search results that fit their filter criteria but don't necessarily match their needs or tastes.
"This tool allows our millions of Zillow surfers the ability to 'X out' homes that they know they are not interested in touring or purchasing."
Zillow is on the charge when it comes to technological advancements on its site and app, including a "multi-location" search launched in July and a renter hub that lets users filter properties by move-in date to avoid paying rent on two properties at the same time.
The company also launched an AI-assisted home-tour product that is free to use on listings nationwide—even if it isn't hosted by Zillow.
