Zillow has always been at the forefront of real estate innovation. As expected of one of the biggest real estate companies in the US. Recently, Zillow announced another service that offers buyer-generated content for displaying builder profiles, community pages, and paid new construction listings on its marketplace.
Called Builder Ratings and Reviews, the service will survey new homeowners at move-in and ask to rate their overall experience, quality of their home, builder responsiveness, how confident they were with the builder, and if they’d recommend that builder to others.
Lucy Wohltman, Vice President of Zillow New Construction, said:
"Builder Ratings and Reviews provides our customers with the confidence to pursue the home of their dreams, and gives our partners the tools they need to manage their reputation."
Ashely Hoyt Director of Market and Consumer Research at Stanley Martin Homes, a partnering developer, said:
"Through our partnership with Zillow, we are able to promote our brand to a broader homebuyer audience and show our commitment to quality and service."
Partners with Zillow will be promoted via its Promoted Communities listing product and benefit from the opportunity to boost their own brands and reputation through Zillow influence.
Avid Ratings was selected as the facilitator for the new feature. Avid Ratings works with over a quarter of the biggest home builders in North America.
Avid Ratings CEO, Aaron Everson, explained that his company is constantly looking for new efficient ways to help its customers increase company profitability. Partnering with Zillow aligns with Avid’s business model, according to Everson.
