Lilly Singh, YouTube celebrity and upcoming NBC late-night host, has recently announced a new deal with the Israeli freelance startup Fiverr.
Fiverr connects businesses with freelancers that provide digital services like graphic design, marketing, programming, video production, and animation, and is named after the fact that these services can cost as little as $5.
Singh’s partnership will call for the listing of a one-time Gig — which is what Fiverr calls the jobs listed on its platform — that will only be available to female-led businesses. Entrants will have the opportunity to win a digital video ad for their company that will be creative directed by Singh herself. The winner will also receive an end-to-end production package — including creative conceptualization, scriptwriting, and a video shoot with Singh on site.
The collaboration is part of a series of partnerships that Fiverr has enacted with celebrities like Rob Janoff (who designed the iconic Apple logo), musician and philanthropist Wyclef Jean, and director Eli Roth. Singh’s partnership serves to promote Fiverr Pro — an offering within Fiverr that comprises top-quality freelancers that are hand-vetted by the company.
