IIM Kozhikode has recently completed the inception of Wudi, a startup based on AI-capabilities that acts as a "skill discovery program" that aids in career advising.
Entitled Career Mentor, the program and its startup are founded by Arjun and Nikita Hari has three core products – Edu Wudi geared at Education Analytics, Biz Wudi for businesses that helps them analyse and visualise data and Smart-Wudi, an AI-powered product that combines deep learning and machine learning to help manage products better. Nikita Hari also co-founded another social tech startup Favalley.
The program has been launched in collaboration with Career Guru, one of the leading career guidance service provider from Kerala and other Middle Eastern countries. This program, a career counselling platform developed in conjunction with Career Guru boasts of an AI-powered interface developed by Wudi. The platform can be used to augment human-driven counselling sessions, workshops and training camps conducted with psychologists, trainers, industry experts and other stakeholders. Throuhgh Wudi’s AI-based skill discovery algorithm, which combines behavioural and profile data from multiple sources, trainers and counsellors will get access to meaningful recommendations which can be used to data-driven career choices.
According to news sources, the program is targeted at students, 13 onwards and allows the trainers and counsellors to successfully perform a holistic assessment of with a mix of conventional and non-conventional methods.
