US Challenger eXp Realty is Switching it Up

August 4, 2020

We have been following challengers in the UK, developing tech and business models to go head-to-head with the biggest names in the industry. In the States, there are a number of smaller challengers that are doing the same.

One such is eXp World Holdings’ eXp Realty which has announced a consumer-facing platform to display listings, offer new features, and support agent engagement.

The announcement comes after a recent acquisition of Showcase IDX. With the help of Showcase IDX, eXp Realty can develop and launch a new platform that allows for more control over the industry.

This is the first news about the company we’ve shared in a while. But according to the company, agents are more remote than ever due to quarantine and this new platform will further support that. It’s not expected to officially launch for a couple of years still, but the market will wait patiently for another option besides Zillow.
