This affordable hotel firm says a family of four can stay a night for less than the price of a movie ticket.

Budget hotel firm Travelodge has released 1.5 million discounted rooms across its UK hotels for 2020 bookings.

Following Black Friday, the chain has now slashed prices across all of its UK hotels with rooms going for £28.99 or less - which works out at £7.24pp a night for a family of four sharing a family room.

And with 570 hotels across the length and breadth of Britain, there's plenty of opportunity to bag a cheap stay - and it includes the school half-term holidays and the summer break.

If you're looking to treat a loved one to a break away for Valentines Day, or even just fancy a change of scenery, prices have been cut at top locations all over the country.

The flash sale includes rooms in major cities such as London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and York .

And for those wanting to make the most of a stay-cation, there's also rooms in some of the UK's top holiday hotspots, including Cornwall, Devon, The Cotswolds, Skegness and Brighton.

Or take a rural break to the Peak District, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales and discover one of the many National Trust parks.
