The online classifieds operator Digital Classifieds Group (DCG) has appointed an administrator and "registered liquidator" according to filings on the website of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
The administrator named in the document is Daniel Peter Juratowitch, CEO of Cor Cordis, a leading Australian advisory and restructuring firm. The filing is dated 05/03/2025 and states that the company has entered "External Administration or Controllership".
According to its website the Australian headquartered company currently operates real estate marketplaces in the Philippines (Lamudi), Indonesia (Lamudi), Cambodia (Realestate.com.kh), Bangladesh (bProperty) and Papua New Guinea (Hausples). Since 2023 DCG seems to have quietly disposed of other assets listed below.
Digital Classifieds Group Portfolio 2023
In 2023 DCG acquired bProperty and Lamudi in both Indonesia and the Philippines from Dubizzle Group and stated its desire to build "a market-leading classifieds group in South East Asia" before floating on the Australian Stock Exchange. The group went on to receive undisclosed investment from the Indonesian investment firm Living Lab Ventures in the summer of 2024.
DCG's troubles come after fellow Southeast Asian portal operator PropertyGuru was forced to pull out of its Indonesian business in 2023 before being taken private, enacting heavy job losses and announcing "refined" ambitions.
Online Marketplaces has contacted DCG for comment and will update this article if and when we receive a response.
