Rightmove has appointed Amanda James as a non-executive director (NED) and chair of its Audit, Nomination, and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees. She will officially join the board at the end of the company’s Annual General Meeting on May 9th and take over as Audit Committee Chair in June.
James brings extensive financial and leadership experience, having served as CFO and executive director at retailer Next from 2015 to 2024. She currently holds a non-executive director role at British Land and took on a similar position at Auto Trader in 2024.
She replaces Andrew Findlay, who is retiring from the board. Rightmove chair Andrew Fisher welcomed the appointment, highlighting James’ expertise in finance, consumer behavior, and multi-channel business strategy.
“Amanda brings not only expertise in finance, but also strong consumer, retail, and multi-channel experience,” Fisher said. “Her depth of experience will provide valuable insights into the needs of our partners and our consumers as we continue to execute Rightmove’s strategy.”
The appointment follows Rightmove’s full-year 2024 results, which showed 7% revenue growth to £389.9 million while maintaining a 70% underlying profit margin.
