Its the spooky season, and companies aren’t shying away from leaning into the holiday spirit.
Realtor.com has spun a survey in an interesting and fun way that is sure to prepare you for Halloween.
Lexie Holbert, realtor.com® housing and lifestyle expert, explained that there is usually an influx of searches for haunted houses around this time of year. Realtor.com decided to run a survey to see how many people truly felt their own homes were haunted.
"Although only a small percentage of respondents indicated they believe their home is haunted, it was surprising to see how many are perfectly comfortable sharing their space with spirits from the world beyond."
The numbers turned out to be quite shocking:
Where the seemingly haunted houses are located have swayed the outcome of this survey. The western half of the country had more respondents.
The way in which these spirits make themselves known differ depending on the region of the country, as well:
As far as whether or not these respondents would be willing to purchase a supposedly haunted house, a majority replied with an overwhelming ‘no.’ Though, adding discounts to the equation changed some of their tunes, with less decidedly avoiding purchasing a spooky house if the price was cut significantly.
