US #2 property portal Realtor.com has hired Chris Patalano as its new CTO. Patalano’s new role will see him focus on optimizing the company’s technology infrastructure. Speaking about the hire Realtor.com CEO David Doctorow said:
“Chris has a long history of leading best-in-class technology teams and executing strategic initiatives that enable world-class consumer experience. We're excited to welcome Chris to realtor.com and know that his deep technology expertise and leadership skills will be a great addition to our amazing team.”
Realtor, which recently switched to a referral lead generation model, has been on something of a hiring spree recently in its drive to de-throne Zillow. In July Mickey Neuberger was hired as CMO, in June promoting Rachel Morley to Chief Product Officer, and hiring Doctorow himself as CEO back in January.
