Oklahoma City Metro Association of Realtors is turning to Homesnap, integrating their search engine for its own platform. MLSOK.com is a new multiple listing service for the realtors in the Oklahoma City area.
"People searching for homes in Oklahoma have a new tool to make finding property easier. MLSOK.com, the state’s premier real estate search portal, is now powered by Homesnap — one of the fastest growing technology companies in the country," the Realtors said.
And it really is user-friendly and even fun. Now, if you go to www.mlsok.com, you are automatically routed to www.homesnap.com, where real estate agents and others can sign in for professional use, but anybody can search for homes.
Here's the tech-marketing-comfort zone leap:
"Homesnap’s signature feature allows people to take a photo of any house, even if it’s not on the market, and the app will quickly identify the property and display details. The technology uses data from the local multiple listing service, a database of homes for sale, to create a property profile, including previous sale prices and the last time the house was on the market. Photography of a multifamily property, like an apartment complex, lets consumers see inside the units.
"Other key features include instant access to high-definition photos, activity alerts when prices change or new listings are added to a saved search area, and in-app messaging with Realtors."
Something that stands out is that even houses that are not for sale can be accessed so easily using a search engine designed to be used to search for homes that are for sale.
Details about the houses, and estimated values, have been online for anyone to see for years now. But Homesnap is different from Zillow.com, which debuted in 2006 as an online information service, not an online marketplace — although it has morphed directly into the housing market since then.
