PropertyGuru, one of Southeast Asia's leading proptech companies and number one player in Singapore, has acquired home services provider Sendhelper as it expands into further adjacencies.
PropertyGuru will now offer at-home services including repair services and cleaning from around 2,000 verified vendors and freelancers in Singapore.
The terms of the deal were undisclosed, though PropertyGuru says it does not expect the acquisition to have a material effect on the Group's 2022 financial results.
Sendhelper is a startup that connects home maintenance workers with homeowners and tenants. According to its website, users can find professionals for everyday needs such as cleaning and laundry services and more niche services including elderly care, pest control, and running errands - with a one-tap booking system.
PropertyGuru says the acquisition means the company becomes the one-stop destination for property seekers to not only find, finance and own their dream home but also manage and maintain it.
Shyn Yee Ho-Strangas, Managing Director, Data and Software Solutions at PropertyGuru Group, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Rupam and Bogdan [Co-Founders, Sendhelper] and the Sendhelper team to PropertyGuru.
“Our entry into home services is an important step as we create solutions that provide guidance and make each step of the property journey more efficient, transparent, and trusted for everyone in the ecosystem – homeowners, buyers, agents, and developers.
Over the coming months, we plan to develop Sendhelper solutions and synergies for our partners and I am excited about the value that we can deliver together for them."
