The Latin American property portal group Properati is this week holding virtual property expos in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. The events which are being hosted on subdomains of the property portal's websites run from today (Monday) through to Sunday and are a chance for home-hunters in the three countries to see what is on offer from the countries' most prominent developers and get special offers and discounts exclusively available through OLX Group-owned Properati.

These types of expo, for which property portal companies enter into agreements with local developers keen to offload some of their stock, have become a tried and tested format in countries with high percentage of new-build property since the onset of the pandemic. Vivanuncios in Mexico as well as Aqarmap in Egypt and LankaPropertyWeb in Sri Lanka are among other property portal companies around the world to have reported success with this format in recent times. As is the case with Properati's sales events, many of these expos offer the user free financial consultancy and housing advice as well as post-sale service.
