United States: Zillow launches listing insights tool for Showcase agents

Zillow has launched a new listing insights tool designed to give real estate professionals more visibility into how their Showcase listings perform on the platform.

Available exclusively to Showcase subscribers, the performance dashboard offers metrics such as page views, saves and shares, benchmarked against non-Showcase listings in the same area. Agents can also track engagement by geography, helping them tailor their marketing strategies more effectively.

The new tool is part of Zillow’s ongoing effort to deliver greater value to agents through its growing suite of software and advertising solutions. It adds to the Showcase experience, which includes interactive media, distinctive listing design and agent branding, all aimed at increasing exposure and engagement.

Cynthia Taylor, SVP of agent software and advertising at Zillow, said:

“Showcase is all about helping agents deliver exceptional experiences to sellers and buyers. In doing so, agents build their own brand, which leads to winning more listings and growing their businesses.”

Todd Chapman, a licensed real estate agent at Delhougne Realty Group in Missouri, said:

"With Showcase, we have more than a marketing tool—we have a way to bring more traffic to the home, which for us is turning into more showings, more offers and better outcomes for our sellers, and that is winning us more business.

"We're emailing the new Showcase listing performance insights report to our sellers almost daily. Our clients, particularly the engaged sellers who are highly data-driven, love it. They get a beautiful report on how their home is doing, and my team has another way to stay engaged."

Agents using Showcase can now access all listing-related information in one place, including media ordering and integrated showing and transaction tools. Zillow said the agents already use the new insights to keep clients engaged and informed. A version offering aggregate data across all Showcase listings is in development.

75% of sellers said finding an agent who had local market and/or neighbourhood-specific knowledge was highly important, according to Zillow's Consumer Housing Trends Report.

Zillow said it plans to expand access to listing insights beyond Showcase in the future as part of its broader roadmap to support agents with more actionable data and reduce manual workload.

United Kingdom: Rightmove celebrates agents with new campaign launch

Rightmove has launched a new marketing initiative to shine a spotlight on the importance of agents throughout the home-moving process.

The campaign, called 'The Game Changers', is designed to collect positive stories from movers and landlords about their experiences with estate and letting agents. Rightmove will choose six standout submissions, with the winning agents featured in a national summer campaign later this year. Movers and landlords who submit the winning stories will receive a £500 gift card.

Rightmove says it is actively encouraging movers to submit stories through its website, newsletter, and Instagram, while also giving agents the option to share the competition with their clients. To be eligible, stories must relate to experiences since January 2024 and will be verified with the respective agencies.

Christian Balshen, Rightmove’s director of agency partnerships, said:

"It can be easy for some home-movers to undervalue the professionalism, knowledge and sheer hard work that estate and letting agents put in to helping them. We want to champion the estate and letting agency profession."

The move follows a period of heightened scrutiny around agent fees and portal pricing. CEO Johann Svanstrom's appearance on BBC Radio 4 last month included an awkward exchange about Rightmove's continued price hikes.

Europe: Otodom introduces significant prices for its agent users

Poland’s leading property portal, Otodom, has introduced sweeping price increases for its services, impacting more than 7,000 real estate agencies listing around 250,000 properties per month.

The OLX Group-owned vertical has implemented hikes ranging from 40% to as much as 300% for certain listing options. The move comes amid a fluctuating housing market in Poland and growing macroeconomic uncertainty.

Speaking to Business Insider Poland, Agata Stachowiak, head of PR at Otodom, said:

"We decided to update our pricing because the quality and value of services we provide to our business clients grows each year, just as the value of the real estate market does. The current prices follow the value we deliver and reflect our unique know-how built over years of market presence."

Otodom has long dominated the Polish market, but the new price structure may test relationships with its core agent base. Competitors Morizon.pl and Nieruchomosci-Online.pl—while smaller—may spot an opportunity to gain share.

Hjem.no adds AI room redesign tool for buyers

Norwegian property portal Hjem.no has marked its first anniversary with the launch of an AI-powered room redesign tool for prospective buyers. The feature allows users to reimagine the interiors of listed homes by applying virtual styles based on existing photos.

The new tool offers five design options: Scandinavian, modern, maritime, rustic, and a wildcard “surprise” setting. It’s aimed at helping users better visualise the potential of a property and boost engagement with listings.

Launched in 2024, Hjem is positioning itself as a challenger to long-time market leader Finn.no, which is owned by Schibsted Marketplaces.

Asia: AtHome.co.jp partners with Microsoft Japan

AtHome.co.jp has partnered with Microsoft Japan to integrate real estate listings into Bing search results, marking what the company says is a first for a property platform in the country.

The new feature allows users to see map-based property listings directly on the Bing search results page when searching with location and property-type keywords. Clicking on the listings redirects users to AtHome’s marketplace for full details.

The integration covers both rental and for-sale residential listings and is aimed at streamlining the property search experience by meeting users earlier in their online journey.

AtHome currently lists 2.5 million properties, largely rentals, from a network of nearly 62,000 affiliated real estate agents. It is one of the leading real estate platforms in Japan, competing with the likes of Lifull Home’s.

The move adds a new discovery channel for AtHome and reflects growing interest among portals in positioning themselves more prominently in general search environments, especially in a highly competitive market like Japan.

PropTechBuzz launches India PropTech Portal

PropTechBuzz has launched the India PropTech Portal, a new platform designed to accelerate innovation and digital adoption across the country’s $1 trillion real estate market. The platform aims to create a more connected and transparent ecosystem by bringing together developers, startups, investors, consultants, associations, and educational institutions.

Billed as a “super platform,” the India PropTech Portal spans verticals including PropTech, ConTech, RetailTech, and IndustrialTech, and is designed to help users discover and evaluate technology solutions, generate leads, and connect with potential partners and investors.
Ravi Kumar, CEO of PropTechBuzz, said:

“We've spent the last year listening to the voices of PropTech founders, real estate developers, and asset owners to understand their real challenges. This platform lets real estate buyers discover and compare technology solutions, evaluate vendors, negotiate directly, and make informed buying decisions. The platform is built to spark serendipitous connections across the community.”

The platform features a discovery engine for PropTech products, a real estate education hub with industry-curated courses, and tools for building community infrastructure. It also provides startups with direct access to capital from venture and institutional investors and offers a framework for global expansion.

Ashwinder R Singh, Chairman of the CII Real Estate Committee and Vice Chairman at BCD Group, called the launch a long-overdue step:

“Until now, there hasn't been a unified platform connecting innovation, investment, and adoption in real estate at this scale. PropTechBuzz is changing that, it’s a true ecosystem that empowers growth across the board.”
