There have been some noteworthy product updates across the portal space recently. Interestingly, some big names are investing heavily in high-performance advertising products, including one of the world's biggest portals, Rightmove. Here's everything you need to know:
Rightmove has launched a new product that lets agents be seen by audiences who are looking outside their local area for their next home—after research by the portal showed that 59% of sellers are looking out of the area to buy.
The new Native Search Ads product uses dynamic retargeting to reach prospective sellers who want to move locally, as well as those searching for their next home out of patch.
The product will be reserved for agents on Rightmove's Optimiser membership, and integrates ads within search results on Rightmove's platform.
Native Search Ads is also the first video-enabled product by Rightmove, with the company revealing that product tests showed that ads with video get 1.8x more interactions than those without.
Dave Anderson, agency director at Rightmove, said:
"Native Search Ads is an innovative way for agents to showcase their brand to future sellers in their area when they are right at the start of their home-moving journey.
"The flexible nature of Native Search Ads means that agents can use them in different ways to suit their marketing strategy and business, whether that’s highlighting their unique offering, sharing helpful guidance, or directing people to their own website to find out more.
"The research shows us that the most successful businesses invest in brand building, as well as direct sales messages, so we wanted to create a way for our customers to reach more prospective sellers, to ultimately win more instructions."

Italy based iBuyer Casavo has launched a new website called Casavo For Agents.
According to the company, agents using Casavo For Agents can access one fully integrated service on its website that lets agents receive offers on managed assets, sell houses, and publish listings from their portfolios—for free.
Casavo will continue to offer collaborative sales—agents can access information about properties on Casavo For Agents and participate in the sale to earn commissions and bonuses.
The updated offering means Casavo moves much closer to the transaction, and will be on the radar of more established players like Idealista, which also operates in the same markets as Casavo (Spain, Portugal and recently France).
In a post published on Linkedin, Duarte Ferreira dos Santos, VP and City Manager at Casavo said:
Casavo recently expanded into the French market with the acquisition of brokerage Proprioo—and it intends to launch a "guaranteed sale" product as part of the move.
AVIV group-owned Meilleurs Agents has a launched an ad manager to help agents tackle a competitive market and low visibility.
Developed by Meilluers Agents in partnership with commerce media platform Criteo, the ad manager lets agents retarget their ads to ideal customer types throughout their customer journey.
