Pisos.com Reveals Specialist Huawei App

October 27, 2020

The Spanish property portal Pisos.com has today announced the launch of its new Huawei specific mobile application. The application, which went live on the Huawei AppGallery yesterday, allows users to use the ‘near me’ function to spot properties in their immediate vicinity as well as receive push notifications related to previous searches made on the app.

The move to create a Huawei specific app may be one adopted by many property portals, especially in a country where Huawei is the second best selling smartphone brand, as is the case with Spain, a point alluded to by Pisos.com CEO Miguel Ángel Alemany:

“Offering our clients and technology partners solutions is fundamental to make sure that our users can enjoy an app that is easy to download and use, agile, intuitive and, above all, useful for finding a home. With this new version, we have taken a vital step in this direction both because of the importance of Huawei in the mobile phone industry and because of the number of people who use their devices in Spain.”

The importance of creating different versions of mobile applications for different brands of phones and of operating systems may prove more important as increasingly, new functionality common on such apps such as map-based services, will not work with generic software. Many property portals may end up building several versions of their mobile applications to ensure that their application is available on all app-stores and with all the desired functionality.
