Piñata's New App is Making it Easy for Renters to Gather Rewards

August 25, 2020

Renters need help. Not just during this pandemic, but any little thing can go a long way when you can only afford to rent. One company has this in mind and launched as the first-ever renter rewards platform.

The newly launched Piñata app is now free to download for iOS and Android mobile devices in the US.

Piñata allows renters, landlords, and property management companies to gather loyalty points for utilizing the services. Rents whose landlords and property managers are signed up with Piñata can rake in rewards that save them up to $4,500 a year.

For landlords and property managers, utilizing Piñata gives them a boost in promotion. Renters will want to live in areas where Piñata is an available service. Landlords and property managers can also design their own unique incentives and rewards through the app.

Current features on the Piñata app include products like Piñata Cash, which can be redeemed for gift cards or cash and is rewarded to renters every time they pay rent in full and on time.

Piñata Perks is a marketplace of over 300,000 deals and special offers from local businesses and over 250 national brands.

When a renter begins using Piñata, they are rewarded a welcome gift that includes $30 to spend at a local business.

Piñata Cares is a campaign to help feed the hungry. A meal is donated every time a Piñata user pays rent through its app. Meals are donated through No Kid Hungry and other local organizations.

Piñata CEO, Lily Liu, explained:

"Piñata is reimagining what renters should get from renting, in a time when more Americans are renting than ever. Our mission is to improve the relationship between landlords, property management companies, renters, and their communities, in a time when these relationships have never been more important."

Piñata is not only a reward program for renters, who on average, have the lowest income across the nation but does so while promoting local business and helping those in need.
