Pakistani portal Graana.com has teamed up with real estate group IMARAT and Pakistan's House Building Finance Company (HBFC) in a collaboration that will bring more affordable housing to the country.
The new consortium will work together to embark upon and support projects that cater to the needs of aspiring homeowners in Pakistan through Easy Monthly Installments.
Shafiq Akbar, CEO at Graana.com and Chairman at IMARAT, said:
"We are thrilled to begin this transformative journey with IMARAT and HBFC. Our goal is to redefine affordable housing by offering flexible EMI options that suit our valued customers’ financial capabilities.
"With IMARAT’s exceptional projects and HBFC’s financial expertise, we are confident in making homeownership a seamless and joyful experience for everyone.
"We believe that not only the average class of Pakistan but every individual benefits from our efforts. We aspire to make every ambitious person, with dreams of owning a home, successful in acquiring one. Because their easy attainment is our success."
Graana.com was developed by UK real estate veteran Shafiq Akbar before launching in 2018 as a portal for buying, selling, renting and finding property developments. According to the web traffic database Similarweb, Graana is the number two player in Pakistan after Zameen, ahead of internationally-owned portals like Lamudi and Mitula:
IMARAT was founded in 2016 and has started 15 real estate projects in Pakistan.
HBFC was established by the Government of Pakistan in 1952 with the mandate of providing finance for the housing needs of lower and middle-income citizens—including the development and launch of Pakistan's first fixed-rate housing finance product, Ghar Pakistan.
