The free-to-list British challenger portal OneDome, which owns and operates Nethouseprices.com as well as an eponymous portal, has revealed that it signed up over 400 agency branches in October. At a time when Rightmove's prices are once again coming under scrutiny, OneDome has seen a burgeoning interest in its offering which lets agents list properties for free and charges referral fees around leads for tertiary services.
"With many agents continuing to look for ways to reduce portal listing costs, we provide them with free listings and the opportunity to generate buyer, tenant and valuation leads" commented CEO Babek Ismayil. Babek was one of the speakers at Property Portal Watch's virtual European conference earlier this month. Check out his interview with Simon Baker here.
OneDome is one of a number of challengers looking to gain market share in an increasingly competitive property portal landscape in the UK. The company recently announced a crucial £5 million funding round which will help it market its product and compete for attention with Rightmove, Zoopla and other challengers such as the soon to be launched Boomin.
