OLX has announced Romain Voog has the new CEO of the company, replacing Martin Scheepbouwer. The switch will take effect on April 1st.
According to his LinkedIn account, Voog has over 20 years of experience in running customer-facing companies like Amazon, Airbnb, Carrefour, and Global Fashion Group. As an international C-level digital leader, Voog puts emphasis on customers, facts, and data to scale up technology-based B2C and B2B businesses.
Scheeepbouwer joined OLX Group in 2012 and has been a catalyst for growth ever since. He has deep experience in the online marketplace sector, having held positions at eBay, as Finance Director of its Netherlands operation, and Schibsted, as SVP and General Manager of Southern Europe.
Right before New Year’s, OLX saw another member of its leadership team step down, Sergey Gapochenko, the now-former head of OLX Europe, ended his service with the company to take a break before beginning new endeavors.
