Facebook algorithm is something you’ve probably heard of in passing, whether it’s by a disgruntled family member, or news of it traveling around your news feed. There’s a new tool using such an avenue that gathers your preferences from Facebook and targets you with ads for appropriate properties for sale. The tool is for members of The Guild of Property Professionals to reach a wider audience with more accurately curated ads.

Called Hooked, the tool matches Facebook users with the types of individuals registered as prospective buyers within agents’ databases as a way to continue the movement and get those stagnant properties selling faster.

Guild CEO Iain McKenzie said:

“When it comes to digital marketing, social media is a key element for providing amazing results and is very beneficial to agents who wish to reach a larger targeted audience. Estate agents who are not effectively utilizing social media as the profitable source it is, are missing out on marketing opportunities that could result in more income.”

So, if you happen to see a property ad pop up for you while you’re scrolling through your Facebook news feed, maybe it’s a sign that it’s time for a change.
