Matterport has been putting its all into third-party technology to continue spreading 3D home tour capabilities to the common people.

Working along with Insta360, a camera manufacturing company, Matterport now offers the ONE R camera to create even more immersive, 3D home tours.

Matterport CMO Robin Daniels spoke at Connect Now earlier this summer saying that the company is looking to expand into new markets.

“The best thing for us to do would be let our partners handle integrations. Whatever you want to do with our platform, go for it.”

An apt declaration considering how many partnerships with third-party companies the 3D capture giant has made within the last year, alone.

Things have only ramped up since the beginning of the pandemic. As homeowners looked for ways to continue selling in a world where distance and sanitation is paramount, virtual home tours were one easy solution for many, as real estate companies, brokers, and portals jumped to the opportunity to utilize Matterport’s 3D capture technology.

Even now, with this new partnership, the ONE R is an even easier way to capture stunning visuals of a home to help market to a completely virtual audience.

Indy Sen, VP of Product Marketing & Platform at Matterport, said:

“Insta360 ONE R has the ability to capture a scan position in 3 seconds, enabling users to capture 1,000 square feet in just a few minutes. We’re looking forward to helping real estate professionals overcome challenges and realize new opportunities to use property technology to support their clients.”
