A trio of IIT-Roorkee alumni based in Hyderabad saw the obstacles in applying for government jobs in both seeking and applying, but also preparing for necessary exams. In response, MadGuy Labs was born.
Although, the company was started as a digital platform to provide content to coaching institutes in 2014, but about a year ago it made its first pivot. Currently, the startup provides mobile-based exam test preparation services for government jobs in Kannada, Telugu, Marathi and Hindi apart from English. According to co-founder Vishal Meena, the startup acts like a virtual classroom and has about 10,000 courses being offered on its platform.
“If you look at the government job exam content, most of it is quite similar and the preparation is also same. Keeping this mind, we thought of developing a platform wherein if a person is preparing for a particular government job, then she can also get access to similar kind of jobs which need the same kind of preparation. As soon as the user registers with us, we take all the basic details and using our artificial intelligence technology we provide inputs on the different jobs they can apply for and the kind of course structure they need to follow,” said Alok Katiyar, co-founder, MadGuy Labs.
