Recruitment solutions provider Jobijoba has recently announced the acquisition of JAI (The Jobs Artificial Intelligence) - chatbot specialist solution for recruiters. This will grant the company better access to new and improved recruitment options by way of artificial intelligence and pre-screening for candidates.
Created as a start-up by Valérie Touraine (CEO) and Willem Browne (CTO) in January 2018, the business perfected an SaaS solution involving pre-designed and pre-trained chatbots capable of conducting the initial real-time pre-qualification stage for candidates and answering any questions that applicants might have on first contact: “How does the recruitment process work?”, “Where’s the company HQ?”, “Can you outline your core business areas for me?”.
In return, JAI can ask candidates questions about their search for employment: “Can you confirm when you will be available from?”, “What type of contract are you looking for?”, “What are your salary expectations?". All conversations are recorded on the interface and can be consulted at any time.
At the end of the conversation, candidates can send their CV via the chatbot – equipped with the CV Catcher tool provided by Jobijoba. In this second phase, the chatbot is able to analyse the CV in real time and instantly suggest any positions matching the applicant’s skills and background. The latter can then apply to any positions of interest to them in a single click, saving applicants a lot of time, too!
Mazars – the first client to offer applicants the new experience
Bringing these technologies together will enable Jobijoba to give recruiters the option of using an intelligent chatbot with CV Catcher technology, offering an end-to-end dialogue, job-matching and applicant pre-qualification service. And the aim? To respond even more accurately to current applicant behaviour and offer a multi-channel applicant experience.
The new solution has already won its first client: Mazars, the audit and consulting firm. In adopting the two-in-one Jobijoba/JAI technology - with a chatbot that talks to candidates and takes them smoothly through the process to the point of application - Mazars has taken a pioneering step in terms of innovating the candidate experience. As of March 2019, all applicants will be able to talk to the new chatbot on the Mazars recruitment web site.
Synergies between Jobijoba and the HelloWork Group
The acquisition of JAI is the first move made by Jobijoba since it was bought out by HelloWork in July 2018. Hellowork Start - an incubator company specialising in innovation and digital technology in the employment and training sector - first saw the JAI solution in 2018 and seized the opportunity. The start-up moved to HelloWork’s Paris office, working closely with the business team and receiving special support with targeting the market. That’s how Jobijoba and JAI met and began talking about the future technology and solutions that will be essential to a complex, dynamic market in the years to come.
“The Jobijoba and JAI technologies complement each other perfectly,” commented Jobijoba founder Thomas Allaire. “Candidates are given better guidance with their job search and companies can focus on areas with much greater value-added, such as soft skills analysis.”
Valérie Touraine, CEO and co-founder of JAI said: “Our solution is now an opportunity to deliver the best candidate experience, whilst also making the job of recruiters easier with automated pre-qualification. We’re looking to accelerate business and product development in 2019, which is why we’re happy and proud that our technology impressed Jobijoba – a pioneer in artificial intelligence in the recruitment sector in France. This new move will enable us to step up development of the solution with the assistance of a complementary key player”.
