Jobcase, a social media platform, along with the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles recently announced the start of their Find Your Future push. This new website will be for young employees looking to get more information about possible career choices and paths.
The job portal can be found at www.findyourfuture.la.
“Find Your Future is a public-private collaboration that puts career and job information directly in the hands of young job-seekers, increasing their access to jobs and to pathways for economic opportunity,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said. “This new resource empowers young Angelenos to create their own job search, enabling them to explore careers and to transition quickly into viewing and applying to related local jobs.”
The new online site will include an employment search engine where seekers can apply for jobs from a list of industries with information on related careers. It also contains a self-assessment quiz and a social media segment.
Through Find Your Future, young job-seekers can find jobs such as pharmacy clerks, tour guides, attendants in children’s club and work that require bilingual skills, according to the MFLA..
Find Your Future is part of Garcetti’s Hire LA’s Youth initiative and was developed for Angelenos ages 16 through 24 who are neither in school nor working.
