Instawork readies to expand into Seattle territory

Instawork, on-demand staffing app based in San Francisco, has recently announced its official expansion into the Pacific Northwest beginning with Washington.

The company, which enables hospitality businesses and event venues to quickly build a staff for specific tasks, has quickly established roots in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, New York, and other major cities, and plans to add Seattle to the list.

By posting their availability to the app, employers see lists of professionals in their region as well as their qualifications and reviews. In a nutshell, the app is designed to help bartenders, cooks, servers, and other hospitality professionals find consistent gig employment.

According to the Washington Hospitality Association, 37 percent of hospitality professionals have trouble maintaining work. Furthermore, Instawork conducted a recent survey in Seattle and found that many industry workers do not have enough work per week to meet their earning needs.
