India: Digital job board for blue-collar workers, Vahan.ai, announces new funding

Vahan.ai, a unique job platform that links employers to blue-collar workers and vice-versa, has recently reported a new capital injection of unknown amount from Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, and Pioneer Fund.

Based in Bangalore, the startup founded by Madhav Krishna is backed by Y Combinator and works with new-age companies like Zomato and Swiggy to plug the low-skilled worker gap.

According to a news report, e-commerce, hyperlocal and online food aggregator startups have fueled the rise of low-skilled jobs in India with 200,000 jobs, a report indicates. What’s missing in the job puzzle is the lack of a platform that can connect digital natives to the blue-collared workforce. As per a blue collar workforce report by BetterPlace, this segment will see 20 lakh jobs over the next six months.
