Indeed leases almost 1M square feet in new space in North Austin, Texas

The new move by the major job portal has brought almost 1 million square feet of new collective space in the Austin area.

Job search engine Indeed Inc. has leased space in another office tower in Austin, this one at the mixed-use development The Domain in North Austin, according to reports.

This move by Indeed brings the tech giant's total office space in Austin to nearly a million square feet in northern and downtown Austin combined — roughly equal to the size of Barton Creek Square Mall — according to a report in the Austin Business Journal.

A company spokesperson told the Journal the local presence is expected to move into the five-story 183,911 square-foot Domain Gateway building in the third quarter of 2019. The new space will accommodate 3,000 workers Indeed plans to hire in the coming years, according to the report.
