In a move to support the lesser-seen parts of the industry, idealista has committed to showcase individuals who have aided in the proptech world in leaps and bounds. To do so, they will be participating in this year’s Women’s Computer Olympiad, a programming competition for ESO, Baccalaureate, Intermediate or Higher Vocational Training students under the age of 20 with an interest in STEM.
To show its support in the programming arts, idealista’s help will mean competitors can compete for free.
Selected girls will be offered training classes related to programming languages included C++, Java, and Python. Mentoring these Olympians will be former Olympians, Google Developers, and engineering students.
First phase will be held online in February 2021 with an in-person meeting in March where four Spanish representatives will be selected in the European Women’s Informatics Olympiad in Switzerland.
Idealista will offer positions of employment to any girls who have participated in the event.
