Housfy, the Spanish hybrid online agency, is now profitable, according to an interview published in El Economista.
CEO Albert Bosch told the publication that he no longer sees Housfy as a startup after becoming profitable in 2024, and expects to hit an EBITDA of €2 million this year
Housfy is an interesting model that combines traditional agencies with brokerage and other house management services. According to its website, Housfy is "the first ecosystem of real estate and home services in Europe."
The company offers solutions for a wide range of housing services, such as real estate sales, mortgage brokerage, residential rentals and household services such as renovations or moving.
Bosch said:
"We have been profitable since this year. In 2023, we lost money because we started the year as a startup and ended it by achieving profitability in the last few months. And this year, every month we have had is positive.
"We invoiced around €25.0 million and this year we will end up making around €2.0 million in EBITDA, which means that we are already a serious company; the banks are already paying attention to us.
"Our vision is to be a comprehensive home platform. To do this you must fulfill five things: apartment sales, mortgage broker, rental management, real estate investment and property management. Once you have all this, then you dedicate yourself to selling supplies, insurance... all these mini-services around the home.
"We started in real estate in 2017, in mortgages in 2018-2019 and in rentals in 2020. In real estate we started a year and a half ago, first we bought a small company and then we bought larger companies such as Finques Feliu and Finques Martínez."
Housfy offers free tools including a home valuation tool, a rentals profitability calculator and a mortgage simulation solution. Additionally, the portal offers virtual staging after agreeing a partnership with Barcelona-based StageInHome.
The company operates primarily in Spain's four biggest cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia. The firm has four physical offices, three in Barcelona and one in Madrid.
