The Gujarat government has recently announced plans for a mobile app that will give students the ability to sign up for and apply for employment exchanges, according to official.
Additionally, the state Labour and Employment Department will also be signing 130 MoUs with various industries for skill upgrade. "Until now the students had to spend a day at an employment exchange office to register themselves with it. We are shortly going to come up with an Android application through which the entire registration process will be carried out," said Additional Chief Secretary Vipul Mitra.
"The students will be able to upload their CVs and documents. They can also search for job opportunities. It will be a challenging task where we want to bring both the employer and the job aspirant on the same platform," said Mitra. "We will also be signing 130 MoUs with various industries for skill development," Mitra said. These industries will set up skill development facilities in various ITIs" added Mitra.
