OLX Brasil has promoted Guilherme Carvalho to CFO. Carvalho, who has a degree in law and international business as well as an MBA from France's INSEAD, previously served as Director of Corporate Finance at the online classifieds giant and has been a member of the company's board since 2019.

Carvalho brings to the table a notable background, having spent seven years as an executive at Prosus, the major shareholder of the company.

The position of CFO had been temporarily managed by Gustavo Perin, the Vice-President of Finance at the company and will now officially transfer to Carvalho. Meanwhile, Perin will maintain his role as VP.

Speaking about his role, Carvalho said:

"My complete commitment is directed towards contributing to the formulation and implementation of sound financial strategies, aimed at nurturing sustainable growth and value creation for the organization. Upholding and advancing financial excellence, in line with the expectations of our stakeholders, remains our focal point. I extend my gratitude to Gustavo Perin for his dedication and commendable performance during his stint as interim CFO."

OLX Brazil is a joint venture between Prosus and the European online classifieds giant Adevinta. As well as the eponymous Brazilian generalist classifieds website, OLX Brazil owns and operates leading real estate verticals VivaReal and ZAP.
