The Adevinta-owned Spanish property portal Fotocasa has today announced the launch of a new platform to house all of its considerable content output.
Named Fotocasa Life, the new platform is an update on the portal's blog and will house all of the company's blog articles focussing on housing market analytics, consumer advice, videos and, of course, celebrity houses and aspirational listings.
The platform features an innovative social-media-like stories section housing 5 different topics where users can see photos on a loop before clicking through to see more. According to a press release, the platform will also put emphasis on expert opinion and analysis around the Spanish property sector with the likes of Fotocasa GM Jose Manuel Merino providing an analysis article currently displayed on the front page.
Commenting on the launch of Fotocasa Life, Studies Director and Company Spokesperson María Matos said:
"We've long felt it was necessary to offer something else to our users and clients. We believe that it [Fotocasa Life] is a platform where, apart from being informed about all the policies and economic changes in the industry and keeping up to date with regulatory decisions that affect the market, we can amplify all the informative content that we create around the evolution of housing prices and our Fotocasa Research studies as well as the Fotocasa Property Index"
The Barcelona-based portal's output has been a regular feature in our monthly look at property portal companies' content efforts around the world and it's no secret that Fotocasa has been upping its content output of late to compete with market rival idealista.
Creating a new home for its content is no doubt part of Fotocasa's wider strategy to gain thought leadership in the market and be the go-to place not only for property listings but also news, data and advice.
