Boosting its leadership team, Frontier Digital Ventures (FDV), an ASX-listed portal and marketplace site operator, has announced that Jason Lau has been named the new Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Lau’s appointment coincides with the departure of the company’s current CFO who has decided to pursue other opportunities. Lim supported a number of FDV events during his time at the company. He helped streamline and strengthen FDV’s financial capabilities at its core. In a statement on the subject, FDV stated:
“The Board would like to thank Mr. Lim for his contribution, particularly in helping FDV navigate a busy year. We wish him well for the future.”
Lim held his position at FDV for just over a year, according to his LinkedIn. Prior to joining FDV, he was a Financial Director for investment management firm, TAEL.
Though FDV is losing a financial veteran, it’s gaining an impressive leader. Lau was most recently the Asia Head of Finance at GrowthOps, a professional services provider in APAC that specializes in growth and technological transformation within the region. Before joining GrowthOps, Lau was the Finance Controller for Southeast Asia at Expro, a global gas and oil company. At Expro, Lau led the merger of Expro’s Thailand branch and was responsible for finance, tax, treasury, and accounting operations for 21 subsidiaries of Expro. Lau also held accounting positions at Shell, ADP, and Banks Group.
Lau has deep experience in leading large commercial deals within ASEAN, including strategic operational reviews to boost operational performance and post-acquisition integration and restructuring. With 18 years of experience in ASEAN markets under his belt, FDV welcomes him with open arms.
