Peter Brooks-Johnson is in the running to become the boss of international multimedia company Future plc when he leaves Rightmove in March.
Brooks-Johnson announced his retirement from his role as CEO in May last year after 16 years at the portal.
Future is the operator of over 200 magazines, newsletters, websites and events including TechRadar, Country Life, The Week, and FourFourTwo.
According to UK outlet Property Industry Eye, Brooks-Johnson is one high-profile name on the shortlist to replace outgoing chairman Richard Huntingford.
Future said that its "search process is ongoing and an appointment will be announced in due course as and when appropriate".
OnTheMarket has announced that Tom Carter has agreed to join the group as CFO to replace the outgoing Clive Beattie, who is set to leave on Friday 27th January.
Carter will join OnTheMarket at the end of his six-month notice period with Brand Architekts Group PLC where he has served as CFO since 2020. He will also become a member of OnTheMarket's board.
Simon Bullock will serve as interim CFO for the period between Beattie's departure and Carter's arrival.
Carter said:
"OnTheMarket is widely recognised as a leader in the industry, and this is an exciting time to be joining the business. I look forward to working with Jason [Tebb, CEO] and the team to further differentiate the proposition and build a “one-stop-shop” for agents and housebuilders across the entire property ecosystem."
