The general classifieds marketplace Encuentra24.com is more popular in Nicaragua than any other website other than Google and Youtube the company has claimed. According to data from Amazon’s Alexa web ranker, Encuentra24.com is above heavy hitters such as Netflix, Facebook and Amazon and only behind Google and Youtube in terms of popularity in the Central American country.

The generalist marketplace headquartered in Panama was founded in 2005 by Boris Métraux and Wendy Jordan and has a long and successful history in the region and is now present in Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Jordan gave a talk entitled ‘General Classifieds Moving into the Transaction’ alongside the Co-Founder of Lalafo, Anna Polishchuk at The Global Online Marketplaces virtual conference on the 17th of June which you can watch on our Youtube channel here.
