Emlakjet Adds Land to its Real Estate Marketplace

Emlakjet, the leading property site in Turkey, has added a section for valuing, buying and selling land to its portal.

The move comes as a response to a 251% increase in search inquiries for land in Turkey, where land is notoriously difficult to buy and sell.

The new feature includes filters for residential and commercial property, and a valuations tool powered by Endeksa—a predictive real estate data insights platform with an inbuilt AVM—also based in Turkey.

A post on Emlakjet's LinkedIn company page said:

"Don't look for the right plot in the wrong place.

With Arsa Dünya, you can learn the value of the land you want and buy and sell land quickly and easily by getting expert consultant support." [translated from Turkish]

Emlakjet is clearly in the mood to improve user experiences via new products and services. In May 2023, the firm introduced a portfolio-sharing system for its real estate agent customers, which allows agents to share listings with other agents and take a cut of any commissions from a successful sale.

And in September, it added a free concierge service for investors, including property recommendations and purchases, tenant management and sales guidance, and financial follow-ups after investment—at no extra cost to the investor.

Meanwhile, land (and the trading of land) is a topic we're starting to see pop up more regularly here at Online Marketplaces. I wouldn't be surprised to see more diversification in this sector in the next 24 months. One to keep an eye on.
