Recently, we reported the survey results gathered by Downsizing.com.au and OverSixty.com.au, which shed light on the average elderly Aussie’s opinion on their future dwellings based on fear around the pandemic.
Now, those two websites are joining forces.
Downsizing.com.au and OverSixty.com.au have announced a partnership to promote a variety of property programs to their combined audience of elderly consumers.
What they refer to as ‘downsizers,’ or those looking to move into a smaller, more affordable home, condo, townhouse, or apartment, are, according to Downsizing.com.au Co-CEO, Amanda Graham, the most valuable residential real estate buyers and sellers. She claims the demographic has been the most resilient sector of the real estate industry during the pandemic.
Graham explains:
“As unemployment rises and mortgage deferral periods end, downsizing becomes an attractive solution for many more people.”
Downsizing.com.au chose OverSixty.com.au to feature their best property developments aimed at elderly looking to downsize. Because this is their target demographic, OverSixty.com.au was the obvious choice.
Speaking on the partnership, Rohan Scott, OverSixty.com.au General Manager, said:
“Property has been attracting significant attention from our community and we look forward to helping them in this important stage of their lives. It is even more relevant now due to the economic impact of COVID-19 on our demographic.”
OverSixty.com.au began its work on Facebook and has grown significantly into the media outlet it is today. The platform covers the latest news and insights pertaining to lifestyle, finance, pets, family, travel, legal issues, education, and more.
