Boomin has announced that an early supporter of Purplebricks, DN Capital, is looking to back Michael Bruce’s newest endeavor, as well. Boomin is also looking to raise £25 million to back its goal to compete with Zoopla and Rightmove.

This is just another notch in Boomin’s growing belt, as it also announces more agent signups, including Douglas & Gordon, a company with 19 branches of agents under it. This is huge for the yet-to-launch portal as D&G is one of the top agency networks in London. D&G was one of the firms behind Agents Mutual which later went on to launch OnTheMarket. A good move for a portal looking to rival Zoopla and Rightmove.

Boomin’s Executive Chairman, Michael Bruce, said:

“Douglas & Gordon share our belief in the power of people, cutting edge technology and data to transform the customer experience as well as business performance. As a forward-thinking, innovative agency they are a natural partner for Boomin and we are delighted to welcome them as founder agents.”

Boomin was originally looking to launch this month but the fate has been pushed back to early 2021. Certainly gives the portal more time to snatch up bigger names as it prepares to debut.
