BetterPlace, a Bengaluru-based tech startup that debuted in 2015, currently focuses its efforts on the 450 million blue collar workers in India. Founded by prior SAP and Nu Sigma executives, BetterPlace acts as a digital platform which can help build a solid trust relationship between the blue-collar workforce and their employers, in order to provide a better life for them in terms of better opportunities, better skills, better employers, better credit, better services, and more. 

Pravin Agarwala, co-founder and chief executive officer, BetterPlace, discusses with Ashish K. Tiwari about the venture’s activities in the blue-collar jobs economy and how it brings more people from informal to a formal economy and improving their chances of leading a better life.
