The global online classifieds operator Adevinta has announced today that it will be bundling all three of its Spanish real estate classifieds titles under one product for agents. Known as Fotocasa Pro, the new product will include services around virtual tours and photography, digital marketing and data services as well as property listing across all three brands. The new site marketed to agents will also include Fotocasa's blog as well as a new podcast series and training webinars around key industry topics.
In Spain Adevinta owns and operates Fotocasa (widely considered to be the #2 property portal), habitaclia (a property portal which started out as a local portal for the Cataluña region but has spread to the rest of Spain) as well as the generalist site milanuncios. Between them, the Adevinta-owned Spanish classifieds brands generate 131 million visits across their various websites and mobile apps.
The new Fotocasa Pro site also mentions that agents' listings can benefit from being listed on international portals with Fotocasa confirming to Online Marketplaces that this refers to a commercial agreement with the international listings syndication company List Globally. Fotocasa also told Online Marketplaces that in the case that an agent did not necessarily wish to list on all 3 sites then the sales team would try to work with the agent to find the best combination for the agent of the 3 titles.
Last week saw the company declared flat Q4 earnings as the effects of the global pandemic hit the bottom line of many of its portals. As one of its major markets, Spain is always broken out separately in Adevinta quarterly reports and the segment has underperformed recently seeing EBITDA drops of -6% and -13% over the last two quarters. In comparison, the company's French segment, which includes portal titles Leboncoin and A Vendre A Louer, has seen EBITDA fluctuation of +4% and 0% over the same two quarters.
