Leading French real estate vertical SeLoger has tied up a partnership with peer-to-peer rentals specialist Wizi.
Wizi is a rental management platform that charges landlords a flat success fee of €150 to advertise their properties across a network of portals (including SeLoger), manage and verify applications and manage paperwork remotely. The Parisian company also has a rental insurance product which charges 9% of the rent and guarantees payment and provides comprehensive insurance and a dedicated advisor.
The partnership sees Wizi take advantage of SeLoger's position at the top of the funnel with the startup's services offered on the 'place your ad' page of SeLoger alongside the regular rental ad placement option.
The collaboration was reportedly in the works for some months prior to today's announcement and was confirmed on Linkedin posts from both sides with Wizi founder, Julien Lozano thanking SeLoger parent AVIV Group for its team's trust and support throughout the process.
Private listings on portals have been a bone of contention in the French market over the years with specialist peer-to-peer player PAP regularly coming under fire from agent groups. Unlike agent-owned rival Bien'Ici, SeLoger allows private rental adverts on its portal but does not allow private sales listings.
