Wunderflats, Germany's market leader for furnished rental apartments, is expanding to France—with 600 units already available in Paris.
Wunderflats now boasts a portfolio spanning 1,000 cities and towns in Germany, Austria and France, with over 23,000 on its books.
The portal has become popular with professionals and international students thanks to its medium-term renting options, furnished stock and digitalized renting experience, including digital contracts and anti-fraud measures.
The company operates in a similar market to medium-term rental specialist Spotahome, which has 35,000+ rental units across Europe.
The Berlin-based startup announced a €21m growth funding round last year, with cash investment from new and existing investors including Verdane, PropTech1, Creathor, IBB Ventures and Axel Springer Digital Ventures.
The company has raised in excess of €30m since its foundation in 2015—by co-founders Jan Hase (CEO) and Arkadi Jampolski (Managing Director).
