REA Group Launches Latest Rental Campaign... While Rightmove Channels its Inner Spotify

December 9, 2022

Realestate.com.au, the number one portal in Australia backed by REA Group, has launched its latest rental campaign in time for the peak summer period.

The campaign includes multichannel radio, TV, outdoor and online ads—and encourages consumers to search and apply instantly for their next rental home with realestate.com.au.

Sarah Myers, REA Group General Manager, Audience and Marketing, said:

"While vacancy rates are currently at historic lows, we have the largest rental audience in Australia and our rental campaign reminds consumers that there’s more choice on realestate.com.au.

"We know that December and January is a busy period for those looking to find their next rental home and our aim is to simplify the full rental journey. Many Australians are facing challenges when securing a rental home, and our Renter Profile feature enables tenants to efficiently apply for multiple properties. Importantly, realetate.com.au rental applications also offer enhanced security for both renters and Property Managers,"

Meanwhile, Rightmove in the UK has created thousands of personalised videos to help estate agent and letting agency branches easily communicate their biggest and best achievements from the year.

Similar in style to annual roundups from the likes of Spotify, Reddit and Youtube, the videos include bespoke data for metrics such as property views, inquiries and number of sales for each branch, and each video is also branded with the agent’s logo.

Recent research from Rightmove found that videos in display advertising get 1.8 times more interactions than ads without video.
