Australian portal Homely.com.au has appointed Ben Williams to the newly-created leadership role—Head of Investor Relations—as the company prepares for its next growth phase.
Williams will work alongside co-CEO and co-founder Jason Spencer to maintain and strengthen business relationships as the business targets further growth in 2023.
Jason Spencer said:
"Having spent his entire career focused on the intersection of property and market dynamics, Ben brings a wealth of real estate and financial experience to this role.
"This new leadership role demonstrates the breadth of talent we have within Team Homely and reflects our growth trajectory. I’m looking forward to being able to work even more closely with our valued partners and supporters of Homely with Ben."
Williams' resume includes roles at My Rental, which he co-founded and worked as a Director, and a further seven years in the real estate industry at Hockingstuart and Marshall White.
Homely has had a busy year and has reportedly tied up over 650 partnerships with agents over the last 12 months. The Australian market is unusual in that the vendor is ultimately responsible for paying portal fees and as such partnerships with agents who recommend the portals' services are crucial.
